You should be extremely good at the language you are going to sue in your poetry. Along with this, you need to have a creative side to match your imagination with the words. The scope of the poetry is very less, until and unless you either create a blog with huge outreach or you have right contacts to be put in.

There is no distinct course for becoming a poet. This a skill which can be supported by courses like BA etc. You should start by writing blogs on internet and publish your poems on sites like, Rekhta and other similar sites. Send out your ideas in articles to get published in newspapers.

Poetry writing is something that comes naturally to a person. If you know how to bind the words together and lend them a beautiful meaning, nobody can stop you from becoming a poet. You can write your poetry and publish them on social media and blogs to get popularity. Apart from this, you can also publish your poetry on a commercial level. If you wish to refine your language, you can also opt for creative writing courses or a specialised course in the certain language that you want to write in. This passion and interest you can pursue with any of programme in which you have caliber.
So, firstly check in which subject you have strong foundation and caliber and accordingly, you can opt in graduation level. For acting, you can join any theatre group to develop strong skills to act. For writing, you can join British council because they have specialised programme for passionate people in English writing.
