In jadavpur university, students are selected based on 50% of 12th boards exam marks and 50% of a entrance exam of 100 marks conducted by the university itself. So, in 2022 the cut off for each categories are :
WBCHSE - 73 for General(14 students), 64.75 for SC (11 students)
CBSE - 78.25 for General (11 students), 74.5 for SC (3 students)
ISC - 79.875 for General (10 students), 71.75 (2 students)
ST - 69.25 (4 students)
OBC A - 64.875 (7 students)
OBC B - 72.75 (5 students)
PD - 59.125 (4 students)

Candidate must be graduate with 45% marks . 5 % concession for SC ST(40%) and with Political Science as one of the optional subjects from recognized University/Institute.
PG Courses Counselling session will be held in 3 rounds, First round will be on 15 November 2022, the second on 17 November, and the third will be on 19 November 2022.

Entry Requirements
under 10+2+3 pattern, securing a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate including all subjects studied at B.A. / B.Sc. Level except those subjects where only pass marks are required and which do not contribute to the total in the final (degree) marksheet
MINIMUM OF 50% MARKS IN THE AGGREGATE AFTER GRADUATION UNDER AT LEAST 10+2+3 PATTERN. AGGREGATE. INCLUDING ALL SUBJECTS STUDIED AT GRADUATE LEVEL EXCEPT THOSE SUBJECTS WHERE ONLY PASS MARKS ARE REQUIRED AND WHICH DO NOT CONTRIBUTE TO THE TOTAL IN THE FINAL (DEGREE) MARKSHEET. Well, I really don't think so. But you can opt for private tutors to cover your syllabus. In fact, you can opt for home tuition also.

If you have bachelor's degree, you can pursue master or PG course in a well-known institute like MICA in Ahmedabad. And other top colleges also you can do master's in mass communication. You can do other courses diploma course in development journalism, mass communication, media studies etc.

If you want regular college then every college have their good and bad side you have to judge according to your need just focus on faculty infrastructure environment library and the most important thing to make college good is you, yes you have to focus on your goal which make college valuable and precious
otherwise open university also offer B.A. Honors in political Science and history in reasonable fees like IGNOU 9000 rs fess with including books for full duration course of three year. The one thing that make open university precious is student have to do selfstudy and focus on goal
