Pondicherry Engineering College - PEC

The general eligibility criteria for admissions to the 4 years of the undergraduate engineering programme offered at PEC states that the candidate needs to complete their +2 from a state /central government recognized educational institution in the state of Pondicherry. Also, the candidate needs to score a minimum of 50% marks in the qualifying examination with physics, chemistry and mathematics being the compulsory subjects.
The candidates are given admission through CENTAC Counselling. In order to appear for the counselling, the candidates from other states than Pondicherry need to appear for JEE Mains examination and should also possess a valid JEE Mains score in order to meet the eligibility criteria of CENTAC.

A diploma holder can join B.Tech course (regular or distance) by D2D process after completing Diploma in Engineering. B.Tech program allows Diploma students to take entry directly into second year of engineering course.
For taking admission in B.Tech, you must have done at least 3 years diploma after 10th in any branch of engineering.
Some colleges take admission through lateral entry exams like Joint Entrance Examination of lateral Entry (JELET), Diploma to Degree Entrance Competitive exam, etc. so you need to appear and crack these exams. Some colleges conducted their own entrance exam for getting entry.
