First of all, you should choose the branch wisely as if you are interested in core electronics, you should opt for ECE at Pondicherry but if you are more in physics related stuff you should go for metallurgy at ISM-Dhanbad instead of NIT-Trichy as ISM-Dhanbad is specially built for branches like metallurgy and mining and is doing good. Hello, as your ranking is low to get IHM Pondicherry to need to attend all the counseling sessions. The only scope when you can get a seat in IHM Pondicherry and if you don't get the seat in first 2 counseling, do not lose hope. You can get a seat in 3rd counseling of the final seat allotment.

IHM-Pondicherry is a government-affiliated college and gets most of its funding and other assistance directly from the ministry, whereas, MCC is a private college. In terms of facilities, I would say MCC is better, but MCC campus is in the forest area and is isolated.

IHM-Pondicherry is placed above SIHM –Kurukshetra. According to the sites, it has better placements and offers better facilities than SIHM -Kurukshetra.
