The dates of JEE Main results are generally in February for Session 1 and May for Session 2. Pondicherry Engineering College does accept scores from JEE Main for admission. Cut-off ranks in PEC as follows: General (15,000-25,000), OBC (20,000-30,000), SC (40,000-50,000), ST (50,000-60,000). Counselling would typically start with registration in June, seat allocation in July, and admission confirmation in August. Closing ranks in PEC: Computer Science: 18,000-22,000; Electrical: 25,000-30,000; and Mechanical: 20,000-25,000. The results of JEE Main Session 1 will be declared by 6th February and Session 2 by 18 May. The ranks will vary year to year and also category-wise.

Pondicherry Engineering College (PEC) has 260+ Faculty members. 80% hold a Ph.D. Degree. The faculty-student ratio is 1:15. 40% of the faculty have experience in industries, and 25% have international exposure. The department-wise faculty strength is Computer Science - 40; Electrical-30, Mechanical - 30; Civil-25 and core disciplines. 20+ adjunct faculty from industries and research institutions. Research focus: more than 150 more research publications every year, more than 50 funded projects, and over INR 5 crore of more research grants. 

During my years at Pondicherry Engineering College, the selection procedure comprised online registration on the PEC website, which charges an application fee of INR 500-1,000. The application form is properly filled with the requirements and submitted. Requirements Upload 10th and 12th marks sheets, JEE Main/ GATE admit card, and Transfer Certificate. The Eligible candidate participates in CENTAC counseling for B.E./B.Tech and GATE-based counselling for M.E./M.Tech. PhD candidates clear the entrance test and interview for selection. Dates/Closing Application dates: June 15, B.E./B.Tech July 15, M.E./M.Tech January 15, Ph.D. June-August: Timeline for Admission 10th, 12th marks sheets, Admit card of JEE Main/GATE, Transfer certificate, Category certificates.  

They have multiple access routes through which the aspirants can get into Pondicherry Engineering College. For the B.E./B.Tech course, 45% of the seats are available based on the scores obtained in JEE Main through the counselling of CENTAC. Of the total 25% is through the management quota 15% through the all-India quota, and 5% through the NRI quota with lateral entry for the Diploma holders. Entrance to the M.E./M.Tech programme is by 50% GATE scores while 50% is done through management quota. To get into the PhD program, pass an entrance test and an interview is required along with the selection through merit. Eligibility criteria include 10+2 with 45 per cent aggregate for B.E./B.Tech, graduation degree with an aggregate percentage of 50 per cent for M.E./M.Tech, and a master's degree for Ph.D. The application fee ranges between INR 500 to 1,000 and the admission timeline is June-August.
