Yes, Portland State University permits international students to work while studying in the university if they hold an F-1 or J-1 student visa. Candidates are permitted to work a maximum of 20 hours per week while classes are in session. When it comes to Portland State University's rankings, US News & World Report has ranked it at the position #280 in Best Colleges and National Universities in the 2024 edition. PSU has been awarded the rank #151 in Best Value Schools by the same ranking body. In QS World University Rankings, Portland State has secured a rank in the range #1200-1400 in Best Global Universities. According to Times Higher Education, PSU has claimed a position in the range #801-1000 in World University Rankings 2024.
