from my experience It was a rather simple process. I enrolled directly. Both direct admission and counselling are options for you. For direct admissions, the entrance requirements are based on your uptu exam score. As far as I'm aware, you must receive a score of at least 80%. According to the official website of positive kanpur., the eligibility criteria for B.Tech Cs are: the candidate should have 60% and above marks in 10th and 12th ii) the candidate should have a valid score in upsee/ JEE main entrance exam iii) psit is affiliated to apjaktu, Lucknow. 85% of the seats are filled by counselling on the basis of ranking of upsee.

Though the first division is required to take admission but still you can apply and ask the director to give the admission since it is a private college if seats are vacant you can take the admission.
