The intake for core PGDM is 180 students. There is no restriction on selecting a specialization. I mean any number of students can choose any specialization of their choice once you get in.

It is a profile based selection. Apart from your entrance score, your academics, work experience, GD-PI have weightage. So just one factor can't be decisive enough.

You need to check the criteria with the respective college. If the college recognizes PGDM at par with MMS then, yes, you are eligible. However, it is best that you check with the college wherein you intend to pursue PhD.

DY Patil and Bharati Vidyapeeth both are good as they are good deemed universities and are never involved in any of the territorial jurisdiction violation. SMU is a scam and have involved in lot of controversies. Welingkar is a bigger scam as they are offering diploma not MBA which do not have any value.

Yes, there should not be an issue. In the past, the percentile had been to 88 so there should not be an issue to get admission in Welingkar.
