Yes, any graduate student can apply with the eligibility of 40 % in up so they can be applied for FTII.

It is difficult but not impossible. FTII selects students from all over India for its various courses by the toughest entrance exam. The number of students trying to join there is near 5000. So FTII entrance exam is considered one of the toughest exams in India.

The eligibility criteria of PG Diploma in Art Direction and Production Design of FTII is given below.
Eligibility Criteria : Bachelors Degree in Applied arts, Architecture, Painting, Sculpture, Interior Design or related fields in fine arts or equivalent diploma in any of the above.
Candidates successful in the Joint Entrance Test (JET) will be called for Orientation and Interview.
Final merit list will be prepared on the basis of written examination(JET), orientation and interview with each stage carrying 20%, 50% (20% practical +30% written) and 30% weightage respectively subject to qualifying in Medical test.

Differences between a creative director and an art director are:
If you're an art director and you create/lead a project that's designed appropriately, you've done your job. It doesn't matter whether that appropriately designed project achieves any of your customer's (or boss's) goals, because that's not in your job description.
