The definition of better varies from person to person and is influenced by personal inclinations and one's strength. For example, some people might go with a regular stream like CS mechanical, Electronics and some might go with not so common branches like robotics, petroleum, and mining. Opt for the engineering branch that you love the most and are most passionate about and analyze the future work conditions, scope and growth prospects before taking admission

Well, it varies every year, as said in the previous answers, it was good in the year 2011,12,13 but 14 was the worst. Again 15 and 16 batches got around 80.85% placement. I belong to the 32nd batch (2017). In our batch placement again fell. Till now, it's only around 50%. The major recruiters like TCS hired only 76 students which used to be above 150 followed by Tech-Mahindra who took 24, and many of the CSE and ETC students recruited by other small IT companies. As far as core sector is concerned, it's Vendat Alumina, Jharsuguda that took 18 students and Bhushan Power and Steel, Sambalpur who took 39 students. JK Papers and Praxair re

Distant education in industrial engineering, you may get in Bangalore, but they may not be valued the same as a normal college course. I would suggest you consider giving CET - Get into colleges like R V, Ramaiah. These are top notch for industrial engineering.

I would like to suggest that Diploma in Automobile Engineering is more job oriented than compared to that of Diploma in Food Production. There are more requirement of Automobile Engineering all over India as well as abroad.
