SVNIT is amongst the top 10 NITs of India and also one of the oldest technical institutes. It was established in 1961 with just 3-4 branches and mechanical was one amongst them.

Production Engineering is a genetic branch and I feel this branch has much more chances of getting good job than ECE. Hence I would recommend production to you.
