UGC NET is conducted mainly to recruit research assistants and professors in various streams of education.
Qualifying Examination:
The candidates those who have completed their post graduation in related subjects can appear for the exam. Those who have acquired post graduation from any recognized university are eligible for applying UGC-NET exam. The candidate must have a minimum of 55%.
Age Qualification:
The candidates appearing for JRF should not be above 28 years of age. The candidates appearing only for lectureship have no upper age limit. Age relaxation of 5 years will be given to SC/ST/OBC or physically disabled or wome

Java is a programing language. It is taught as a subject in BTech CS & IT, MCA etc. It is not a branch of engineering.

Salary for freshers in IT industry depends on type of Institute from which you are graduating. Students for Tier I Institutes such as IIT/NIT/BITS etc get CTC between Rs 6 to 10 Lakhs during campus placement. Whereas salary for Tier II & Tier III Institute graduates is between 2.75 to 4 Lakhs. If you get job in off campus recruitment drive salary may be lower by 10 to 20% in comparison to campus placed graduates. Salary structure varies from company to company.
