No, it is not beneficial for you in that field, you are nowhere going to use it. If you have interest in programming you can learn it by yourself but don't do a professional course in it.

If you're interested in programming then go with courses like B.Tech/ BCA / B.Sc. Work hard and smart.

If you're really interested in programming then go for BCA. As BCA is a technical course, much more oriented towards programming than B.Sc. So, BCA will be a better option for you.

Both are good courses in terms of career aspects. You should select one according to your interest. If you're good in creativity and designing then go for Game Designing or if you're interested and good in programming then go for Game Programming.
