No, its not necessary that you have to appear for GATE to take admission in NUS. Based on your performance in the previous exams and the exams which are conducted for foreign admission, you can easily get admission.

After completion of graduation in engineering, many students do not desire to pursue their post-graduation in same field. For you and such students best option is to go for MBA. It's different than engineering and also will lead to perhaps better placements. Of course MS in project management is also equally interesting course. Best wishes.

I recommend that you apply to universities in other states as well, rather than restricting yourself to one state. Stevens Institute of Technology in New Jersey offers Masters in enterprise project management. You can also consider Masters in Project Management offered by New York University and Northwestern University.
