Both scores accepted,but for MAT February it is difficult, you can apply with previous MAT scores.
The last day for submission of application is 21st January 2017. GD and interview is scheduled on 28th January 2017.

You have wrote that you are in third year of graduation in mechanical engineering, which means you still have one more year. I am confused how you became eligible for XAT? But if you are in 4th year, you should score above 60 percentile, but they usually admit students through MAT exam, which is easier than XAT. But next MAT is on February 2017 but PSG might finish its selection before that.

If you are joining through MAT, there is no quota. Quota is applicable only if you join through TANCET in whose selection PSG has no role. PSG accepts scores above 600 but selection will also depend on your performance in GDPI round. Fee would be higher if you join through MAT. The specialization is usually chosen only after your 3rd semester. You can opt it then. Hope my answer helps you.

Both PSGIM and ASB are equal and have almost same brand value for their MBA, though not comparable to their engineering courses. Both have good accreditation. If you join through TANCET, then fees for PSGIM is just Rs 4 lakhs, while through MAT or CAT scores will cost you Rs 10 lakh, while ASB fee is around Rs 11 lakhs. Both their average salaries usually range around Rs 5-6 lakhs. While Amrita has centralized placements, so if you happen to be in top 10 percent of ASB, it will be advantage than PSGIM but top 10 means it also includes students from their Bangalore and Kochi campus. MAT score required is 550 also you need to write TOEFL or IELTS .

TANCET cutoff mark for MBA in PSGIM is 54 approximately for backward category and 58 approximately for other category. There is no further interview only scores are enough.

Alliance is one of the top private university in South India for management course. The last year average salary was Rs.10.08 lakhs per annum. Then, PSG is getting Rs.4.8 lakhs per annum.
