In addition to the departments of computer applications, management sciences, basic sciences, and humanities, the college has approximately 15 departments dedicated to engineering and technology. PSGCT offers students a top-notch education in engineering that fosters research and development. It provides 3 integrated engineering courses lasting 5 years, combining industry training with classroom instruction. The average fee for a 4-year B.Tech programme at PSGCT is INR 3,48,000. This fee does not include the one-time security deposit, hostel and mess charge, exam fee, etc.

The TNEA exam results are used to determine a student's admission to the PSGCT Coimbatore program. Prior to submitting an application, students must meet the college's prerequisites. The PSGCT Coimbatore cut-off mark must be met by the students in addition to their qualifying exam results. The M.E/M. The tech admission process is based on the results of the GATE or TANCET exam and is preceded by TANCA counselling.

PSG College of Technology holds NBA accreditation, is recognised by the AICTE, and has received an "A" grade from the NAAC. In the Engineering category of the 2023 NIRF Rankings, PSG College of Technology came in at number 63. Furthermore, the college has been ranked in the Times Higher Education 2024 rankings with a 1501+ ranking. Entrance and merit-based are used to determine admission to courses at PSG College of Technology. The TNEA, GATE, CAT, MAT, and TANCET are a few of the approved tests.

Entrance and counselling are the only factors used to determine admission to B.Tech, MBA, and M.Tech programs. Admission to the institute is determined by the entrance exams. To be admitted in B.Tech programme in the institute student must qualify the TNEA, for M.Tech GATE and TANCET. Likewise for MBA the accepted entrance exam is CAT/ MAT/ XAT/ TANCET, etc. and for MCA it is TANCET.  Candidates must appear for the entrance exam of the required courses, in order to be admitted at PSG College of Technology.

The minimum percentage required for admission to the M.Sc integrated data science course at PSG College of Technology (PSGCT) is 50% in 12th grade from a recognized board. If you have passed 12th grade with 70%, you are guaranteed admission.

B.Tech students at PSG Institute of Technology and Applied Research were assigned to outstanding roles. The companies offered a range of salary packages, with the highest at INR 15 Lacs per year, the average at INR 7 lakhs, and the lowest at INR 6 lakhs.
