International students can submit the PTE exam score to meet the Wollongong University English language requirements. The UOW accepts the score of the Pearson Test of English (PTE) for admission at the university. Besides the PTE score, the University of Wollongong also accepts TOEFL / OET scores. You require at least a score of 65 in PTE to qualify for an Australian Permanent Residency or PR. However, the minimum level is competent English if you apply for subclass 189 or 190.

First of all that's pretty cool that you want to study abroad and talking about the score you acheived in PTE which is 49, I think its a bit average but many colleges in sydney do accept the score. So as per me do apply it you have a chance to get the opportunity to study your desired course. Go ahead.
