Public Health

The Master's course in Public Health at UAB includes the following:·       A total of 42 credit hours of coursework are required for the coordinated Master of Public Health programme.·       However, because of the coordinated nature of the degrees, 12 credit hours from the Masters in Health Administration are credited to the MPH course, and 9 credit hours are credited to the MSHA course.·       All MPH students engage in an Applied Practice Experience (Internship) in the community and conclude their coursework with an Integrative Learning Experience (Capstone) in which they pull together skills and perspectives learned in both the core and the concentration courses to produce a high-quality written product·       The programme is available with the following concentrations:·       Epidemiology·       Health Behavior·       Health Policy·       Health Care Organization·       Maternal and Child Health Policy·       Population Health

Candidates seeking admission to the JNU MPH course shall have a valid Bachelor's level degree with a minimum duration of four years in clinical sciences such as MBBS, AYUSH, BDS, BAMS, BUMS, BSMS, BHMS, etc. The degree course should have been passed with a minimum aggregate of 55% from a recognised University/Institution (or equivalent grade B on UGC 7-point scale or equivalent grade in a point scale wherever the grading system is followed). Moreover, candidates with Masters level degrees in Social Sciences, Humanities, Management, Sciences, Technology and Allied Subjects/fields with a minimum of 50% aggregate from a recognised University/Institution (or equivalent grade B on UGC 7-point scale or equivalent grade on a point scale wherever grading system is followed) are also eligible.
