Hi, I'm pursuing B.Tech. CSE at LPU. I cannot complare Symbiosis interenational University, Pune and LPU, Punjab. But, I can tell you about LPU as per my knowledge and experience.Lovely Professional University (LPU) is the one of the best University in India and having NAAC grade A+. LPU has 50th National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2024 in Engineering Institutes of India and has 9th rank in Computer Science Subject in India by Times Higher Education World University Ranking 2024. Also, LPU has National Board of Accreditation (NBA). LPU has World Class Computing Labs such as GOOGLE LAB, IMAC LAB, CISCO LAB, NEXT-GEN LAB, BOT LAB and more. HackerEarth, a global competitive programming platform, has ranked LPU as the 3rd institution in the country in terms of the Most Technologically Advanced Crowd.LPU is offering many specializations in CSE under different programmes such as Hons. Industry Collaborative Programmes, Work Integrated Programmes, Industry Collaborative Programmes, etc. Students study here by live projects and do experimental learning. For placements, we are getting Professional Enhancement Programme (PEP) classes, by which we get prepared to crack placement interviews. Every year, 1000+ leading national and multi-national companies visit LPU to conduct campus placement/internship drives. Some major brands that visited LPU in past are Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Adobe, Infosys, Wipro, TCS, HP and many more.If I talk about exact placement data, 90% students were placed in CSE in session 2022–23 and 80% student were placed in 2023–24 (till Jan 2024). In batch 2022, the highest package was 62.72 lacks per annum. In session 2022–23, maximum salary package was 54.75 LPA by PALO ALTO NETWORKS and in session 2023–24, maximum salary package was 52.08 LPA by MICROSOFT CORPRATION INDIA PVT LTD.

In the case of Unique Institute of Management (UIM, Pune) the hostel fees of the students depend on the facilities provided in the hostels. The institute has a boys' hostel and a girls' hostel with the total strength of nearly 500 students. The hostel charges differ based on the type of accomodation and amenities and vary between 80000-120000 per annum. Other charges provided are mess charges, laundry charges, Wi-Fi charges and 24 hour security charges. A study revealed that about 70% of the students prefer to live in hostels while 30% live outside hostels. Tuition fees for the hostel are paid in two equal halves for the beginning of the academic year and in January respectively.

As far as admission to the Unique Institute of Management (UIM, Pune) is concerned to seek UG/PG course, a candidate needs to fulfill eligibility norms. For the UG courses, the One time intervening period pass of any board shall be accepted provided the candidate has passed 10+2 with minimum 45% in aggregate and for PG courses a candidate must have passed the bachelor's degree with at least 50% in aggregate. Candidates must also write entrance tests like CAT, MAT CMAT or XAT, for post graduate courses. The institute deems attributes such as entrance examination 30%, academics 20%, work experience 20%, and personal interview 30%. As many as 200-250 students are admitted to the university annually allowing for the enrollment of new blood.
