Symbiosis Institute of Technology, Pune offers admission to BTech programme based on JEE Main or any other State Engineering Entrance Exam. Aspirants who have not appeared for any of these entrance exams can appear for SITEEE. SIT Engineering Entrance Exam (SITEEE) is conducted by Symbiosis International (Deemed University). It is held every year for admission to the engineering programme of Symbiosis International (Deemed University). There are three sections in the SITEEE exam: Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. The duration of the SITEEE examination is 60 minutes, which is one hour. Once selected, candidates with their names on the merit list are required to pay the programme fee to confirm their seat in the institute.

JEE Main is one of the accepting exams for Symbiosis Institute of Technology Pune BTech programme. The score of the candidates is required to take admission in BTech programme. Aspirants along with JEE Main rank need to meet the eligibility criteria. They need to complete Class 12 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of Chemistry/ Computer Science/ Electronics/ Information Technology/ Informatics Practices/ Technical Vocational subject/ Engineering Graphics with at least 45% aggregate (40% aggregate in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) for BTech programme. IISER Pune is launching a two-year Master of Science (MSc) programme for students with a bachelor's degree in any Science branch. Eligibility criteria include a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate or an equivalent CGPA on a 10-point scale in BSc or an equivalent degree with Chemistry as one of the main subjects. The entrance exam is the Joint Admission Test for Masters in Mathematics (MA) or Mathematical Sciences (MS), with shortlisting based on JAM rank. Candidates in the final year of their Bachelor's degree are also eligible. IISER Pune does not offer direct admission to the B.Sc. program, but instead offers an integrated BS-MS dual degree programme in natural sciences. This programme leads to both Bachelor's and Master's degrees, with no separate admission process for the B.Sc. portion. Admission to the BS-MS programme is based on performance in national entrance exams like KVPY (Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana) or JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) Advanced. Students can apply through the KVPY channel, JEE Advanced channel, or SCB channel, with the latter requiring a 10+2 (Class 12) examination from a recognised board with a high score in Science subjects.
