Hello Shikhar Goel,  Yes, Punjab Engineering College (PEC) has a defence quota for B.Tech admissions but Thapar Institute of engineering and Technology does not have the defence quota.PEC has a defence quota for the children and grand children of freedom fighters as well as the children of serving or ex-serving defence personnel.Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology does not have any defence quota.

The food quality in the hostel mess of Pondicherry Engineering College is decent Some students find it too good when they compare the food with other messes, on the other hand, some students think that it can be improved. It totally depends on your food choices some people like spicy food and some like non-spicy but the canteen at the mess provide pretty good food on the basis of your taste.
