During my years at Pondicherry Engineering College, the selection procedure comprised online registration on the PEC website, which charges an application fee of INR 500-1,000. The Eligible candidate participates in CENTAC counseling for B.E./B.Tech and GATE-based counselling for M.E./M.Tech. PhD candidates clear the entrance test and interview for selection. More than 500 students have received scholarships every year, which is a total of INR 1.5 crore. The scholarship is offered in amounts ranging from INR 5,000 to INR 50,000 per year.
