Admissions to the MBA programme is based on the merit ranking in the entrance exam like CAT, MAT, NMAT, SAT, CMAT, etc. Candidates who hasn't appeared for these entrance exams can apply and appear for the Chitkara University test conducted by the university itself. This entrance exam is followed by group discussion and personal interview. Placements at Chandigarh University are better than PRIST University. The B.Tech placements at PRIST is INR 3.65 LPA to 4 LPA.However, the B.Tech placements are very high at CU. The highest package offered was INR 150 LPA and 54.6 LPA for international and Domestic processes. The average package still remains at INR 20 LPA. Microsoft, Google, Amazon, IBM, Arcesium, Adobe, Deloitte, Morgan Stanley, Qualcomm, Philips, Goldman Sachs, Toshiba, etc are the top recruiters of the university.

The highest salary package that was offered to the students of Chitkara Business School, Chandigarh is INR 42 Lacs per annum. The average package offered to the students was INR 8 Lacs per annum. The college has not released the placement report for the year 2023. However according to the report of 2022, over 100 students received PPO and more than 30 students received international offers.
