Well I can't say about Chandigarh University, I would like to discuss about Lovely Professional University. The Mechanical Engineering department had the most ideal study environment since I have two friends from that stream. The labs and workspace at LPU School of Mechanical Engineering, was fully equipped with all the necessary machinery that was required for wholesome learning. I am going to share few facts which I know about mechanical department:-
A Mechanical Engineering student goes through an experiential learning process surrounded by high-end the latest labs and equipment including robotics and automation. International tech-fests and competitions encourage all-round development in our students in addition to giving them international exposure. As a general rule for placements, a lot more will depend upon your own hard work, communication & presentation skills and overall preparation. This would be true for any university you enroll in. I can SEE my few friends getting placed in reputed companies like Hyundai, Reliance Energy, Godrej, Sandhar Technology, XL Dynamics and many more. Even IT industries recruit Mechanical students here. Companies like Microsoft, Wipro, TCS, Infosys, etc. Are prominent recruiters here. LPU alumni are working in top MNCs across the globe like Voltas International, Honda Two Wheelers, Asahi India Glass Ltd. , Indo Farm Tractors Ltd. etc. LPU Students have been offered International locations like Dubai and Oman by Voltas. School of Mechanical Engineering organized an International Conference on Recent Advances in Mechanical Engineering (ICRAME), in which experts from leading brands like Maruti Suzuki, Biomimicry India were present.
