No, there's no other exam for taking admission in Punjabi University apart from JEE Mains.
PU conducts Punjab B.Tech Admission through a centralised counselling process. This university does not conduct any entrance exam for admissions to the B.Tech programmes. Admissions are based on JEE Main scores and ranks and a candidate's performance in class 12th.

No, without entrance exam, it is not possible, but you can talk to officials because most of the colleges have management quota, you can get a seat through management quota.

Try Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology. They have BTech lateral entry in Chemical engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering.
