Candidates seeking admission at RV College of Engineering must meet the required eligibility criteria as preset by the institute. They must appear for the accepted entrance exam. The selection is based on the candidates' performance in the accepted JEE Main or any other national-level/state-level entrance exam. Additionally, shortlisted candidates must present the relevant documents to prove their eligibility.

For admission to RV College of Engineering (RVCE), Bangalore, the eligibility criteria typically require a minimum of 45% aggregate marks in the 12th board exams (Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics) for general category students, and 40% for reserved category students. Since you have 61%, you meet the minimum requirement. However, RVCE admissions are also based on performance in entrance exams like KCET or COMEDK. The selection criteria for admission to the MCA programme at RV College of Engineering primarily involves Karnataka PGCET and KMAT scores. Applicants are required to appear for either the Karnataka Post Graduate Common Entrance Test (PGCET) or the Karnataka Management Aptitude Test (KMAT). The scores obtained in these exams play a significant role in the admission process. Additionally, other factors such as academic qualifications and performance in the qualifying examination may also be considered during the selection process.

Well, it is important and recommended to write an entrance exam. However, through management quota you will be exempted from participating in the normal counselling process for obtaining a seat. So, you won't really be competing for a seat through cut offs.

As you have got 107 marks in Uni-gauge 2018 and hadn't applied for ComedK so you will not get RV College in this case as RV College of Engineering accepts ComedK score, not Uni-gauge score. Unigauge score is accepted by a few institutions only in Karnataka.
