Both exams are different in the following ways:
More competition in KCET, compared to COMEDK.
Tough COMEDK, easier to get a good rank, wherea

I am sorry to inform you that with a rank of 7185 in COMEDK, you clearly have less chance to get admission in lower branch also in R. V. College of Engineering, Bangalore. Moreover, it is not possible to get any branch in this college. Don't be demotivated, be open to other options. You can ask us your queries and discuss with us about your other career-related doubts. HEY!
First of all, it depends on what branch you want.I am assuming you are aspiring for top branches (Just because the cutoff are high) like CS,EC or IS. In that case , you need a really good rank ( approx below 700-800) to be safe. You can check comedk site for last year cutoff.
Translating the rank to marks can be difficult as it depends on the difficulty of paper set and the relative response of other candidates line you.For example, during my year , the paper was difficult and lengthy I scored 117 marks with a rank of 900. It varies and fluctuates a lot. Just prepare your best.
