A decent salary can be bagged in ECE both in RVCE and MSRIT as this branch has a good scope and placement track. But RVCE is more preferable as compared to MSRIT as there are several reasons -:
1. The number of companies visiting RVCE is more than MSRIT.
2. RVCE is older than MSRIT and the wine theory works here too.
3. Suppose during your engineering course you develop a desire to go for R&D then RV has the proper platform which can give wings to your passion.

I've provided enough details regarding cutoff to save you plenty of time looking around. Assuming you already know enough about the two exams, I'll just mention important bits to know the difference between the two exams better.
Number of applicants in COMEDK'18: 72,152 (against 20,000 seats, out of which 18733 are reserved for engineering)
Number of applicants in KCET'18: 1,98,639 (against 19942 seats, out of which 16942 are reserved for engineering)
Both exams are different in the following ways:
More competition in KCET, compared to COMEDK.

MS Ramaiah Institute of Technology, Bangalore is one of top private college of Karnataka.
After COMEDK exam, you need to appear for Offline counselling to get admission in MSRIT or any other private colleges.
To get CSE and ECE branch in MSRIT, Your rank should be under 1500 in COMEDK entrance exam.

All of them are quite good Institutes but to be specific, in my opinion you should opt for VIT for Engineering. CSE is a non-core branch and if you work hard a bit, you can land into getting a good job as compared to the core branches.

Yes, you can Get admission in RVCE . The minimum eligibility criteria for B.Tech admissions in RVCE through KCET and COMEDK is 45% marks at 12th for general and 40% for reserved candidates.
