The board has recently announced 13487 RRB JE vacancies.
Candidates who are interested to appear in this exam should not down the important dates as given here -
The online registration process has been started on 2nd January 2019 and will end on 31st January 2019.
The exam will be conducted in April/May 2019.

There is no point in pursuing a course that you don't like. Between photography and social work also, you need to figure out which one you want to take up as your career. Yes, you can apply for JE (mechanical) in railways.
The JE exam is held for the junior engineers posts in different departments of the railways. You being ITI in Mechanical Engineering will get into mechanical department if you qualify in all the stages of the exam.
