Rajalakshmi Institute of Technology admissions are merit-based. Candidates interested for admission to RIT Chennai must meet the basic educational requirements of the course they are applying for. Moreover, admission to UG courses at RIT Chennai done through TNEA Counselling. The eligible candidates need to apply and appear for the counselling process for the final college and seat allotment.

To get admission to B.E./ BTech course at Rajalakshmi Institute of Technology, candidates must fulfil the minimum eligibility requirements of the programme. Admission to BTech course at RIT Chennai is based on the merit of last qualifying exam of Class 12. Further, RIT Chennai accepts the TNEA scores for admission to its BE and BTech programmes. The admissions are done through the TNEA counselling.
