For becoming a commercial pilot, there is a specific eligibility criteria, which you should first be aware of. This is decided on what subjects have you taken in class 12th. It requires PCM to be a pilot. And, even if you have not opted for the same, then you can appear separately for these subjects and become eligible. I am afraid one can not legally work on an aircraft as maintenance engineer without license from DGCA. But all the institutes offering AME enable students to take on this license exam.

The candidates shall have passed minimum 10+2 Class with aggregate of 50% marks in Physics and Mathematics; or a three years Diploma in engineering; or a higher qualification in Science with Physics and Mathematics. The trainees shall be subjected to a medical examination before they are admitted to the training institute by a doctor having at least an MBBS Degree. This is done to check the medical fitness of students for the field of Aircraft Maintenance Engineering. Candidates shall not have any physical disabilities or colour blindness, which may interfere in discharging the duties as an AME. Admission Requirement:

Yes, From the information that I have you are definitely likely to get CTC of the amount you have mentioned after completion of your AME course.

You should be physically and mentally fit.
Apply for a Commercial Pilot license in any flying school. (NFTI, Gondia and IGRUA are the best in India) Or you may join Cadet Pilot Programmes Of IndiGo, Jet Airways or Air India.
You can go abroad for CPL training. USA, AUSTRALIA, NEW ZEALAND, PHILIPPINES provide the best training.
Get Class II medical Certificate from Doctors certified by DGCA. Then get your Class I Medical Certificate from Air Force stations or you can get it done from Nanavati Hospital, Mumbai or Apollo, Chennai.

The normal eligibility criteria for AME is 12th. But many institutions accept Diploma as equivalent to 12th and give admission. So, do not worry.
