Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology, Mumbai has some recognition but might not be considered a top-tier engineering college in India.  It's approved by the All India Council for Technical Education, a mandatory requirement for engineering colleges in India. RGIT might not be featured in national engineering college rankings like NIRF, which can be an indicator of an institute's wider recognition.
