Hi,
The cut-offs for diploma courses are supposed to be out tentatively around July. Stay tuned until then. The eligibility criteria is that a student should have scored an aggregate of at least 45% in their 12th board exam after which an entrance exam will be conducted.

Hi,
Thanks for putting your query in Shiksha. You will face a few percentage disadvantage in case you are changing your stream from arts to commerce in college. This disadvantage varies in case of different DU colleges. For getting a better picture of this scenario I'm attaching a link which mentions the various percentages of disadvantage—for different colleges—in case of stream change. Please go through it, it'll tell you all you need to know about it: https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.shiksha.com/humanities-social-sciences/articles/amp/du-admissions-2016-marks-disadvantage-for-stream-change-blogId-12957#ampshare=https:/

Combining Mathematics with Commerce in 12th grade offers significant advantages for your academic and professional future. It lays a strong foundation for higher studies in fields like Economics, Business Management and Finance where mathematical proficiency is often a prerequisite. Also, it prepares you for competitive exams for MBA.

Selection criterion for B.Com Honours is based on merit. If you score as much in your boards results to clear the cut off for Ramjas you'll get admission. Kindly go through our Shiksha page which displays the DU cut offs for the last two years. I have attached the link to the two pages which show the cut offs for 2017 and 2016 respectively, I hope they are useful: https://googleweblight.com/i?u=https://www.shiksha.com/humanities-social-sciences/articles/du-admissions-2017-cutoffs-declared-blogId-14571&hl=en-IN

Hi, the admission for certificate diploma courses would begin approximately around the beginning of June and would span for a month until the second week of July. Keep visiting the DU website for updates.
Thanks.

Hi,
Thanks for posting your query of Shiksha. The thing is that one should note here that the admission in DU colleges are based on merit with an exception of a few. In case of Ramjas, the admission would be on merit basis for all undergraduate courses. I would suggest you go through the DU website to check the cut offs for the previous few years. If you want to get admission your percentage should breach the cut off point. Please refer to the Shiksha link attached here, it shows the cut offs for every course for the academic year 2017-18. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.shiksha.com/science/course/amp/b-sc-hons-in-zoology-swami-shradd

Hi, thanks for posting your query in Shiksha.com. The thing is that it is imperative for you to have studied mathematics in your 10+2 for getting admission in B.Com. The pattern is any language plus best three subjects which should include mathematics. However, for B.Com Programme, mathematics isn't mandatory to secure admission in this course. However, the same pattern is mandated, that is, a language subject plus three best subjects (mathematics included or not). So in accordance to this you won't be able to secure admission for B.Com Honours but for B.Com Programme, yes.

Hi,
Thanks for putting your query of Shiksha. There is no other way to get admission in Ramjas in Pol. Science apart from cracking the cut off. The only way you can admission is through the merit basis, that is, securing the percentage required for making up to the cut-off point for Ramjas.
