Eligibility criteria for MTech candidates are given below:GATE candidates: Candidates must have a BTech degree in a relevant discipline with a minimum of 55% marks (or equivalent) from a recognised university. They must also have qualified the GATE exam with a minimum score of 750 (or equivalent). Check the GATE Exam Date and prepare for the exams accordingly.Non-GATE candidates: Candidates must have a BTech degree in a relevant discipline with a minimum of 55% marks (or equivalent) from a recognised university. They must also have a valid GATE score.Sponsored candidates: Candidates sponsored by government organizations/reputed industrial organizations/academic institutions are not required to have a GATE score. The course pattern for IIIT Ranchi BTech is as follows:Year 1: The first year of the BTech programme at IIIT Ranchi is common for both CSE and ECE students. Students take courses in mathematics, physics, chemistry, engineering drawing, programming, and data structures.Year 2: In the second year, students begin to specialize in their chosen field. CSE students take courses in data structures and algorithms, operating systems, computer architecture, and software engineering. ECE students take courses in digital logic, signal processing, communication systems, and VLSI design.Year 3: In the third year, students take more advanced courses in their chosen field. CSE students take courses in artificial intelligence, machine learning, cloud computing, and web development. ECE students take courses in embedded systems, wireless communications, and control systems.Year 4: In the fourth year, students take a capstone project in their chosen field. CSE students can choose to work on a project in artificial intelligence, machine learning, cloud computing, or web development. ECE students can choose to work on a project in embedded systems, wireless communications, or control systems.In addition to the core courses, students also have the opportunity to take elective courses in a variety of subjects, such as security, cryptography, and human-computer interaction. Students can also participate in research projects under the supervision of faculty members.
