Candidates must watch all types of news channel broadcast including national and international news, etc. During RBI Grade B preparation, this will keep candidates updated about Current Affairs and know what is happening around the globe
Candidates must read the daily newspaper which publishes all kinds of news like National, International, Business, Sports, Economics, Entertainment, etc. Candidates must make short notes for General Awareness section as it helps in revision
Candidates must choose the correct set of General Awareness books as it will help them to brush up their knowledge.

Quantitative Aptitude section forms the major part in RBI Grade B exam. Questions in this section are asked from Number series, Decimal fractions, Time, Speed and Distance, Boat and Stream, Allegations, Averages, Geometry, Simple interest and Compound interest, Simplification, Problems based on trains, Profit or Loss, Data Interpretation, etc. The tips and tricks to prepare for RBI Assistant Quant section are given below:
The Quantitative Aptitude section is completely based on Mathematical part. Some questions involve formulas and candidates need to have basic concepts. Candidates can clear their concepts of Maths from their school-level books
Candidates need to memorise the formulas and theorems to solve questions in Quant section
Candidates should learn the shortcut techniques of solving questions

Around 60 to 70 per cent questions asked in the Reasoning section are only from Puzzles. Besides puzzles, questions are asked from topics such as Logical Reasoning, Syllogism, Data Sufficiency, Direction and Distance, Blood Relation, Ranking, Direction Sense, etc. To answer the questions in Reasoning, candidates require sharp analytical and logical skills. Candidates must prepare new types of puzzles of moderate level
Always organise the information in the desired structure like table, circle, line, etc. Questions asked in the Puzzles are in the form of seating arrangements like linear, circular, triangular, rectangular, and sometimes hexagonal

RBI Assistant exam is conducted online. All tests except English is in English and Hindi. The test carries multiple choices. Out of five answers only one is the correct answer. Candidates can select the correct answer and click that alternative which they feels is correct. Answer to any question will be considered for final evaluation, only when candidates have submitted the answers by clicking on Save & Next or Mark for Review & Next. The clock is set at the server and the countdown timer at the top right corner of their screen displays the time remaining for them to complete the exam. Click on the question number on the question palette at the right of your screen to go to that numbered question directly.

Use of books, notebooks, calculators, watch calculators, pagers, mobile phones etc. Is not permitted in this examination. All belongings of the candidates are to be kept outside the room/ lab/ examination hall and candidates are not allowed to take their belongings prior to the end of the examination. Candidates are advised not to bring any of the banned items including mobile phones/pagers/ to the venue of examination as safety arrangement cannot be assured. Any candidate found resorting to any unfair means or malpractice or any misconduct while appearing for the examination including giving/receiving help to/from any candidate during the examination will be disqualified. The candidate should be vigilant to ensure that no other candidate is able to copy from his/her answers.

Along with the RBI Assistant admit card, candidates need to carry documents such as PAN Card/Passport/Permanent Driving Licence/Voter's Card with photograph/Bank Passbook with photograph/Photo Identity proof issued by a Gazetted Officer on official letterhead /Photo Identity proof issued by a People's Representative on official letterhead/Valid recent Identity Card issued by a recognised College/University/Aadhar Card/E-Aadhar Card with a photograph/Employee ID in original/Bar Council Identity card with photograph. Ration Card and Learner's Driving License will not be accepted as valid ID proof. Staff candidates have to bring RBI Identity Card and its photocopy. Please note that the name appearing on the call letter (provided by you during the process of registration) should exactly match the name as appearing on the photo identity proof. Female candidates who have changed first/last/middle name post marriage must take special note of this. If there is any mismatch between the name indicated in the admit card and Photo Identity Proof are not allowed to appear for the exam. In case of candidates who have changed their name are allowed only if they produce Gazette notification/their marriage certificate/affidavit.
