RBI Assistant Mains exam pattern is divided into five sections: Test of Reasoning, Test of English Language, Test of Numerical Ability, Test of General Awareness, and Test of Computer Knowledge. There are a total of 200 questions and the total marks of the test are 200. Candidates need to complete the paper within 135 minutes. The duration of the test of Reasoning is 30 minutes, Test of English Language is 30 minutes, Test of Numerical Ability is 30 minutes, Test of General Awareness is 25 minutes and Test of Computer Knowledge is 20 minutes. RBI Assistant exam pattern for preliminary exam is divided into three sections: English Language, Numerical Ability and Reasoning Ability. The question paper of the preliminary exam contains a total of 100 questions. The maximum marks allotted to the test is 100. The total duration of the preliminary exam is 60 minutes. Each section of the prelims exam is conducted for 20 minutes. The preliminary exam is conducted to screen candidates for the Mains exam. The marks secured in the prelims exam are not counted for the final merit list.

RBI Assistant prelims cut off in 2022 was calculated out of 100 marks. The cut off was applied in each section and in total marks. Candidates who secured the cut off marks were selected for the Mains exam. The state-wise RBI Assistant prelims cut off is given below:
