RBI Assistant

In RBI Assistant there is no interview. However, candidates qualifying the Mains exam are required to appear for Language Proficiency Test (LPT). During LPT, candidates are assessed whether they can speak and write the language of the state they have applied for. The selection process of RBI Assistant comprises prelims and mains exams. The interview process has been discontinued from the lower level post. The prelims exam of RBI Assistant comprises three sections-English Language, Numerical Ability and Reasoning Ability. The total marks allotted to the test are 100. The mains exam of RBI Assistant comprises five sections-Test of Reasoning, Test of English Language, Test of Numerical Ability, Test of General Awareness and Test of Computer Knowledge. The total marks allotted to the test are  200.

The selection process includes preliminary and Mains exams followed by a Language Proficiency Test (LPT). The prelims exam is divided into three sections English Language, Numerical Ability and Reasoning Ability. The total marks allotted to the test are 100. The total duration of the preliminary exam is 60 minutes. The Mains exam carries questions from Test of Reasoning, Test of English Language, Test of Numerical Ability, Test of General Awareness and Test of Computer Knowledge. The total marks allotted to the test are 200. The marks of the Mains exam are taken into consideration for the final merit list. Candidates qualifying the Mains exam are called for LPT.

RBI Assistant prelims exam is conducted in four shifts while the Mains exam is held in two shifts. The shift 1 of prelims exam is held from 09:00 am-10:00 am while shift 2 is held from 11:30 am-12:30 pm. The Shift 3 exam is held from 02:00 pm-03:00 pm while Shift 4 is held from 04:30 pm-05:30 pm. The shift 1 of Mains exam is held from 10:00 am to 12:15 pm while shift 2 is held from 2:30 pm-4:45 pm. The total marks for RBI Assistant prelims exam are 100 while it is 200 for the Mains exam. There is no weightage for Language Proficiency Test (LPT). Candidates must be able to speak, write and understand the local language of the state they have applied for. According to RBI Assistant marking scheme, for correct answers, candidates score one mark. For every wrong answer, 0.25 marks are deducted. RBI Assistant application fee is INR 450 for OBC/General/EWS candidates, while it is INR 50 for SC/ST/PWD/EXS. The application fee of RBI Assistant can be paid online by using debit card/credit card, net banking, mobile wallets, etc. The application fee once paid by candidates will not be refunded by the examination authority. The application fee once paid is not refunded to candidates. RBI Assistant application form 2023 was released on September 13, 2023 by RBI. The application process of RBI Assistant is completely online and comprises several steps such as registration, uploading of scanned photograph and signature, filling the detailed application form, previewing the application form, final submission and fee payment. The examination authority does not entertain any offline applications for the exam. RBI Assistant exam dates 2023 have been announced by the Reserve Bank of India. The prelims exam was conducted on November 18 and 19, 2023. The mains exam was conducted on December 31, 2023. Earlier, the prelims exam was scheduled to be conducted on October 21 and 23. The mains exam was scheduled to be conducted on December 2, 2023. The prelims exam comprises English Language, Numerical Ability and Reasoning Ability. The total marks allotted to the prelims exam are 100. The mains exam comprises Test of Reasoning, Test of English Language, Test of Numerical Ability, Test of General Awareness and Test of Computer Knowledge.
