RCC Institute of Information Technology, Kolkata, is one of the finest institutes in the above fields and was established in 1999. The institute is affiliated to Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology, MAKAUT, also it provides UG and PG courses in the various fields of engineering. RCC IIT's academic orientation, the faculty, and facilities including highly advanced computer labs make it one among the best. This institution has an excellent placement record, especially among the IT and software sectors, and has gained repute as one of the better engineering colleges for young engineers in Kolkata.

Admission to RCC Institute of Information Technology (RCC IIT) at Kolkata is relatively competitive. Admissions for B.E. / B.Tech are largely on the basis of WBJEE or JEE scores. The cut-off marks for WBJEE vary every year due to the number of applicants and seats available. Of course, students with better WBJEE or JEE Main scores have a good opportunity to get admission. Even though RCC IIT is not as competitive as the top institutes, performance in exams, good academic record, and proper counseling are what contribute to getting in.

Admission RCC Institute of Information Technology, Kolkata is now open for all undergraduate and postgraduate courses in B.E./B.Tech. Eligibility for joining the B.E./B.Tech courses is through West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE) or JEE Main. Candidates may enroll in the WBJEE counseling round once qualified based on the scores secured. Eligibility criteria along with scores in the entrance test are the criteria for postgraduate courses. Would be better to have a visit or contact the admission office at the RCC IIT website for more details as of now on the prevailing admission procedure and deadlines.

Generally, RCC Institute of Information Technology, Kolkata, hosts rate the food quality provided in their mess satisfactory. A number of nutritious, vegetarian meals are prepared for the mess. Since the food is properly cooked under hygienic conditions with concern regarding balanced nutrition, all mess-related requirements of the students are taken into consideration. Mess, maintains cleanliness, and meets the bare minimum in the case of students variety and taste are left to individual choices. Regular feedback is taken from students for improving food quality. More options may be there in the canteen itself for campus variety.
