Candidates are recruited as primary or upper primary teachers in Rajasthan on the basis of their qualification in the REET exam. The RBSE fills Level 1 and Level 2 teacher vacancies by taking another recruitment exam. The recruitment exam is taken almost every year for the candidates to become eligible for being a teacher in the schools of Rajasthan.

Candidates who fulfil the prescribed eligibility criteria for the REET 2024 exam can submit the applications. The basic eligibility criteria is that candidates should be graduates from a recognized institute with a minimum of 50 per cent marks. The REET Certificate was earlier valid for three years. The Rajasthan Cabinet led by CM Ashok Gehlot on March 12, 2022 extended the REET Certificate validity from three years to a lifetime according to the new guidelines of NCTE. Though the REET Certificate is valid for lifetime, the candidates are allowed to take the REET exam to upgrade their scores. The REET exam is taken every year for the candidates to become eligible for teaching or upgrade their scores. After qualifying for the REET exam the candidates will become eligible for the recruitment exam.

The REET stands for the Rajasthan Eligibility Examination for Teacher (REET). Though the REET is also known as RTET (Rajasthan Teacher Eligibility Test). The REET 2023 will be held tentatively in February 2023. The candidates can appear for Level 1 and Level 2 exam. The level 1 exam will be taken to test the eligibility of the candidates to teach in the primary schools (Classes 1 to 5) of Rajasthan. The Level 2 exam is taken to determine the eligibility of the candidates to teach in upper primary schools (Classes 6 to 8) of Rajasthan. The candidates who will be able to qualify the REET exam will become eligible to take the recruitment exams conducted by Staff Selection Commission and other schools in Rajasthan.

The REET Certificate for the teacher eligibility test will be released after the exam is concluded for the year 2024. The application form for the REET main exam for Level 1 and Level 2 were released on the official website on December 21, 2022. The candidates were allowed to apply for the REET main exam from December 21, 2022, to January 19. The last date for paying the application fee for the REET level 1 and level 2 recruitment exam was January 19, 2023. The REET Mains admit card for the recruitment of the third grade teachers in the schools of Rajasthan was released on February 17, 2023. The candidates were allowed to download the admit card by following the steps given below:
