Hi,
No, they are not. Mechatronics is multidisciplinary between mechanical, electronics and computer engineering.
Robotics, on the other hand, can be considered as a part of mechatronics as it involves these mechanical, electronics and computer engineering fields. The main difference is inputs are "provided" to mechatronics systems whereas robotics systems "acquire" inputs by their own.

Yes, you can surely join BE in robotics and automation after Diploma in mechatronics.
B.Tech/BE through lateral entry (direct second year admission) will be best for you, you have to appear for LEET examination to get a good college.

Hi,
You can not predict the model or maximum marks for which the advanced exam will be set. You are talking about robotic engineering!
There is no such specified branch. You need to take a 5 year integrated course of CS+robotics. Or you need to complete b tech in CS or ECE and then take up a post graduation course (MS or M.Tech) in robotics. Anyways, first start preparing well for the exam. You are interested in a branch which is the most preferred. So you need to be ready to face immense competition.
All the best.

Please check their websites for majors and electives. You will get several options. Nowadays we can also see universities offering M.Sc. In User Experience Designs, IOT, Data Science with IOT etc. You must research.

After doing B.Tech in ME, you should go for M.Tech in robotics. It will enhance your skills. Robotics is very relevant to mechanical engineering. Good Luck.

You can choose mechatronics engineering branch. This branch is combination of EC, IT, IC, CS and EE branch and many more. So robotics depends on all these branches.
