Although most of the colleges in India for Robotics is not that good. But exceptions are there:
IIT Bombay
IIT KGP
IIT KANPUR
IIIT Hyderabad (not sure, but they are good at research. They focus mainly on end products.)
BITS Pilani (currently working on Hyperloop)
These are a few colleges as far as I know which are good for a Robotics.

Yes, you can but it requires robotics knowledge as well Mechatronics can be understood to come from two words - Mecha, which stands for Mechanics and tronics, which stands for Electronics. Thus, Mecahtronics is the integration of Mechanical, Electrical and Software systems to make intelligent and more productive machines. Robotics simply is one of the applications of Mecahtronic knowledge. It involves the integration of all the components of Mechatonics systems to design machines that can act like humans. Hi Austin,
You need to have completed your 10+2 (HSC) with a good score like above 90%. There is no entrance exam but PSG accepts JEE Mains marks .
If not, then you need to go for management quota admission.

No, it is not possible. Since it depends upon college management. All the stream are different from each other. Therefore, if you wish to pursue robotics, then only the subject in robotics will be taught to you. No other subjects will be taught.
