NIT Rourkela is good enough for electrical engineering. The opening rank for admission in electrical engineering in NIT Rourkela is 4699 and closing rank is 11825. As you are with a good rank, you can easily get the admission. NIT, Rourkela is one of the best engineering colleges in India. With the best infrastructure and very good placements, it gives many opportunities to the students pursuing engineering in this institute. The college not only welcomes the students to pursue engineering but also offers higher study opportunities. It has an updated curriculum and the best faculty. This is a classic Shakespearean dilemma. Rourkela as well as Warangal, both have a long history of academic excellence. Practically there is nothing much to differentiate between the two. Hence my advice would be to select the one with better convenience.

To get admission in NIT Rourkela, For General candidates to qualify for admissions to NITs/IIITs/GFTIs, they should have secured at least 75% marks in class 12th exam or be in the top 20 percentile in class 12th exam conducted by the respective boards. For SC/ST candidates, the eligibility criteria is 65% marks in class 12th.The Home State: Rank - 16679 And Other State: Rank - 12898 for mechanical engineering.

All the NITs are equally good and holds a good placement record as well. NIT Rourkela is good enough for Computer Science and engineering. It has a good infrastructure, and good faculty members as well. It holds a good placement record. The companies like Dell, Microsoft, SAP Labs, Direct, PwC India, Goldman Sachs, HP, NCR Corporation, Oracle Apps, Cloud, Financial Services, Samsung, Ericsson So placement wise its good that's the only thing that matters in the end and academics wise it completely depends on you.
