RRB Group D Pattern

The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) prescribes IBPS RRB exam pattern. IBPS RRB Clerk comprises prelims and mains exams. IBPS RRB exam pattern for Officers Scale II and III comprises single online exam and interview. The total marks allotted to the prelims exam are 80. The mains exam carries 200 marks. The interview carries 100 marks. The exam pattern of IBPS RRB Office Assistant comprises two stages, preliminary and mains exam. No Interview is conducted for this post. Candidates are selected based on their performance in the mains exam. IBPS RRB exam pattern for Officers Scale I is such that it includes prelims, mains and interview. The final selection of candidates is done based on the mains exam and interview.

RRB Group D exam consists of three selection phases, namely, CBT, PET, and document verification. IBPS RRB Clerk exam pattern is divided into prelims and Mains exams. The prelims exam carries 80 marks. The Mains exam carries 200 marks. There are negative markings in both prelims and Mains exams. For the wrong answer, 1/4 of the marks assigned to that question are deducted as penalty. Percentile scores are scores based on the relative performance of all those who appear for the examination. The marks obtained are transformed into a scale ranging from 100 to 0 for each shift of examinees. The percentile score is not the same as the percentage of marks obtained. The percentile score indicates the percentage of candidates that have scored equal to or below (same or lower raw scores) that particular percentile in that examination. Therefore, the topper (the highest score) of each shift will get the same percentile of 100 which is desirable. The marks obtained in between the highest and the lowest scores are also converted to appropriate percentiles. According to the revised marking scheme, the boards have decided to interpolate the raw marks into the base shift.
