Salaries at RRB NTPC vary depending on the role. Undergraduate positions have an initial base pay that varies from INR 19,900 to INR 21,700. For graduate positions, the RRB NTPC pays between INR 25,500 and INR 35,400. A commercial ticket clerk at RRB NTPC makes INR 21,700 per month. The monthly wage range for RRB NTPC posts for undergraduate candidates is between Rs. 19,900 and Rs. 21,700. However, the monthly compensation range for those who have completed their studies is between Rs. 25,500 and Rs. 35,400. The advantages available to all central government employees are also available to those hired through RRB NTPC. The seventh pay commission is followed in paying the in-hand salary. 

The responsibilities of the RRB NTPC Station Master include managing passenger concerns, operating as the designated railway station's in-charge, overseeing the station's operations, and making sure trains arrive and depart on time. The Station Master receives a total salary of INR 54,360. At least once a day, the station master is required to conduct an inspection of the station, which includes checking the cabins, signals, level crossing gates, lamps, weighing equipment, commodities, the station yard, and any cars parked there. Similar tasks will be carried out around the region under the Yard Master's supervision. There are numerous positions available, such as station master, ticket collector, clerk, commercial apprentice, safety personnel, traffic apprentice, and several engineering positions (signal, electrical, etc.).

Junior Clerks and Typists receive a base RRB NTPC salary of INR 19,900 per month, whereas Station Masters and Commercial Apprentices receive INR 35,400. In addition, candidates are eligible for medical reimbursements, pension benefits, house rent allowance (HRA), travel allowance (TA), and dearness allowance (DA).The positions of Station Master, Senior Time Keeper, Commercial Apprentice, Junior Account Assistant, Cum Typist, and Goods Guard are the most sought-after ones in the RRB NTPC test. With an annual salary of INR 27.3 lakhs, the position of Deputy Chief Engineer is the highest-paying position at Indian Railways. The top 10% of workers make around INR 14.53 Lacs annually. The annual income of the top 1% is over INR 45 lakhs.
