As such, the candidates are considered in more than one pay level as per their merit and option for posts in that respective pay levelCandidates can only be empaneled against any one post, it is essential to publish the shortlisting for document verification in various pay levels one after the other in sequence, starting from the highest pay level of 6, so that unique candidates are shortlisted across pay levelsCandidates who are called for document verification for the posts in Pay level-6 have to give an undertaking that if found medically fit for the posts of pay Level-6, they forfeit the right to be considered for any other pay levels. Candidates will thus be empanelled against one post onlyCandidates found medically unfit for the posts in Pay level-6 are considered for shortlisting to the next lower pay level posts as per their merit and medical fitness in that respective pay levelsCandidates finally empanelled, after medical examination, for the post in Pay level-6 is excluded in the shortlisting process out to other lower pay level posts. The important changes announced in the selection process of RRB NTPC are highlighted below:General InstructionsIn case of the shortfall in empanelment of candidates or other exigencies, RRB reserves the right to utilize the candidates down the merit list if required, as per the merit and option given by them. Recruitment ProcessCandidates who are shortlisted for CBT 2 availing the reservation benefits of OBC (NCL)/SC/ST/EWS, PwBD, and ExSM will not continue to be considered only against OBC (NCL)/SC/ST/EWS, PwBD, and ExSM for all subsequent stages of recruitment process.Document VerificationBased on the performance of candidates in CBT 2 only or in both CBT 2 and CBAT/TST (as applicable), candidates equal to the number of vacancies are called for document verification in the order of merit. Appointment of selected candidates is subject to their passing requisite Medical Fitness Test to be conducted by the Railway Administration, final verification of educational and community certificates, and verification of antecedents/character of the candidates. 

The instructions related to RRB NTPC Typing Test are given below:The candidates are required to type at least 300 words in English or 250 words in HindiThe candidates will have to type in English or Hindi, as per option exercised by them on RRB websites. English will be the Typing Language for those who have not exercised their option Candidates who have opted Hindi for Typing Test must be familiar with the usage of Krutidev or Mangal fontThe exam session consists of three parts as Typing practice for one minute to warm up & familiarize with key board,  Break of 30 seconds and Typing Test for 10 minutes which will be taken for evaluationAs the skill test is to determine the speed, candidates who have completed the passage can retype passage from the beginning within the duration of test i.e. 10 minutes. Candidates who do not type the whole passage at least once in 10 minutes will be treated as disqualified. The transcripts of those candidates who do not type 300 words in English or 250 words in Hindi within the prescribed time will not be evaluatedThe evaluation of the passage typed by the candidate will be done as follows:The mistakes will be classified as full mistakes and half mistakes. 5 per cent mistakes of the total words typed may be ignored. Accordingly, the total number of mistakes will be calculated as under:No. of full mistakes + No. of half mistakes/2 = Total MistakesNumber of mistakes – 5 per cent of total number of words typed = Final count of mistakesThe typing speed of the candidate will be worked out by the following formula:Typing Speed= No. of total words typed – (Final count of mistake x 10)/Time For example: If a candidate types a total number of 400 words in 10 minutes and commits 10 final count of mistakes, his speed would be worked out as follows:400- (10x10)/10= 300/10 = 30 w.p.mThe minimum speed should be 30 words per minute in English and 25 words per minute in Hindi
