In India, relatively the safety compliance is poor as we regard not following safety as heroism and following safety as weakness. (like not wearing helmets / seat belts while driving). However, a shift is happening in the project work site safety with many companies advocating safety first principle. With large projects that are happening / lined up in India like metros; RERA for real estate industry; entry of many MNCs, safety is going to play a major role and I believe it will have good prospects.
