A pass in the qualifying examination is sufficient for SC/ST candidates.M.Sc.Candidate must have completed B.Sc. Degree with Botany subject as an optional with above mentioned marks from any recognised Univerity/Institute.
Candidate must have studied Botany at least four papers of 100 marks each.
A pass in the Qualifying Examination is sufficient for SC/ST candidates.
Candidates passing the examination compartmentally and securing required percentage of marks or equivalent CGPA are also eligible.
OR
Candidate who have completed B.Sc. Degree with Botany subject as an optional and have studied a minimum of 30 credits in Botany can also apply.

45% marks for BC categories.
Candidate who are appearing for the final year degree examination are also be eligible.
Degree obtained by Distance Mode Program should have recognition by Joint Committee of UGC, AICTE and DEC/DEB.
Candidate who passed all the subjects of the three years of any Degree course in one sitting is not eligible for admission.MBA/PGDMCandidate must have completed Bachelor degree of 3/4 years duration with above mentioned marks from any recognised University/Institute.

In respect of persons with disability candidates, the minimum qualifying marks in the said examinations shall be 45% in case of General Category and 40% in the case of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and Other Backward Classes.
