The cutoff various every year but as per the past year cutoff, a general category student with a rank under 1,50,000 in JEE MAINS EXAMINATIONS can easily get a seat at VSSUT. For getting higher branches you need to have rank under 60K. The cutoff rank for reserved categories is around 4-5 Lacs rank in JEE MAINS examinations which is very low.So, getting Admission in this college is not so difficult as NIT'S and GFTI. A student with basic knowledge of subjects can easily make up to get a seat here.

I'm not a hater of the college, I've had good experiences there.
First, there is no proper infrastructure for labs and sports. I wanted both.
Second, they make you pass lab exams with a S or an A with nil efforts. You learn nothing here.
Third, they follow a mark-oriented approach rather than going by the learning perspective.
Last, there are crazy rules here which will change students' way of thinking.
If you are an open minded or a practical person, do not go for it. The college wouldn't make sense.
