Both are different in their respective fields and based on your future goals, you have to decide what you should be doing. A PGDM in Canada from some reputed university might fetch you good chances on an international placement, but two year MBA course in India, considering you are talking about the IIMs or top notch Private Institutes like SIBM or MDI, would earn you more respect in India during placements and Career beyond. So the decision is based on your career goals. Good luck.

Hi Sonali,
Yes, you can do that but for MBA they will require work experience. So after M.Sc. You must work. So instead of wasting additional time why don't you simply get a job and apply for MBA.

Hi Sonali, I will recommend Canada keeping in mind the immigrant checks and stay back options after studies. In UK, getting a job after studies is very tough for Indians. Also the one-year M.Sc from UK is not recognised in India by a majority of companies and organizations. So its a risk. Canada is way more flexible and has good schemes. Post-study work options are also very good. You can be eligible to work for around 2-3 years. The ROI in Canada will be better.

Hi Shrey, the programme you want to do does not quite match with your education background. You must therefore prepare a very good SOP and convince the university about your decision. If you have any relevant experience or skills in marketing or can show some projects etc. in marketing it will be good. Rest you must see the admission requirements on university websites, take the IELTS etc. and apply by the deadlines.

First of all, your choice of PGDM over Masters is a great move, as you get exhibited to more practical work and a co-op would let you into an internship after your 16 months of course, and I was on same boat but work experience matters later after your PGDM. You may get landed into a job straight after your course in Canada or you may not, so better be secured with genuine work experience, which will definitely help you in your career. My suggestion is to go for work related field for 24months at least and later on go on with your PGDM in Canada, which may land you into a job and a great future. As you have experience, you may be prefe
