The placements were good, out of 100 students around 70 to 80 students were placed in campus placements. Companies like Crisil offered 5 lacs and Nomura offered 3.2 lacs.

Yes, you have a decent chance of getting call for the process as SIES doesn't believe in partiality based on entrance exam score and gives a fair chance to everyone in GD PI. I will suggest you give it a try, even if you don't convert it, you'll have a lot to learn and will be better prepared for any further GD PI. Good Luck.
